Smartphone Positioning using Sparse Fingerprint of Wireless Signals for Large Indoor Spaces

Ubiquitous positioning is in high demand in the field of location-based services for smart mobile terminals and in a wider range of IoT applications. Among them, the fingerprint based indoor positioning algorithm has received widespread attention in the industry. In this research, a wireless signal indoor positioning method based on sparse fingerprint for smartphones is proposed for fast, efficient and convenient application deployment. This method can effectively solve the radio map measurement and maintenance problem of low efficiency, the degradation of positioning performance caused by heterogeneity of different intelligent mobile terminals, the error of the positioning area caused by the strong matching of wireless signal fingerprint positioning, and the rationality of the fusion positioning path based on the wireless signal fingerprint positioning results. For further improving the usability of fingerprint positioning.
