Synthesis of a wrinkled hierarchically porous cerium-based MOF for thermal decomposition catalysis of ammonium perchlorate

摘要:Since ammonium perchlorate (AP) thermal decomposition catalysis is a typical heterogeneous catalytic process, developing catalysts with optimized interfacial properties has become an urgent priority. Catalysts featuring hierarchically porous structures demonstrate significant advantages in heterogeneous catalysis due to their abundant accessible active sites. In this study, a wrinkled hierarchically porous structure cerium-based metal–organic framework material (WHP-UiO-66-Ce) was synthesized by the soft template method, and its interaction with AP enabled efficient catalysis of AP decomposition. The results show that under the catalysis of WHP-UiO-66-Ce, the high-temperature decomposition peak of AP is reduced from 427.2 to 361.5 °C. Meanwhile, WHP-UiO-66-Ce significantly enhances the rate of decomposition of AP, which is attributed to its unique structure. Furthermore, concerns about the issue of the agglomeration of catalysts have significantly diminished. This strategy provides an idea for designing efficient catalysts for AP thermal decomposition.
