Research Interests: Include Multi-source fusion location, Simultaneous Localization and Mapping, LiDAR data processing. His focus is on the use of LiDAR to assist localization and mapping in extreme environmental conditions such as forest and other circumstance. At the same time, he is committed to extracting significant features from complex environments to complete three-dimensional reconstruction and semantic understanding of complex scenes.

Research Interests: Multi-source remote sensing data processing and forestry application. He mainly studies multi-source remote sensing data processing and feature extraction methods in highly complex scenes represented by forests, and studied the method of retrieving canopy height, volume, biomass and other parameters on different scales based on multi-source remote sensing data fusion.

Wang Yinrui

Research Interests: Sensing and understanding the complex real environment based on the integration of LiDAR and visual sensors since she was a master student. Furthermore, she keeps working on processing the images, point clouds, and achieving the fusion of the forward-mentioned data using deep learning techniques. Now, she is interested on the promotion of multi-modal data fusion, point cloud matching, individual tree segmentation, shape completion, and species classification for the complex forest scenario.

Wang  Xiaochen

Research Interests: Simultaneous localization and mapping in complex  environments, which is a fundamental and essential component for many applications in robotics,  autonomous driving vehicles, and augment reality. From the scientific research point of view, he is  trying to fuse multi active/passive sensors to improve the efficiency and robustness of algorithm. From the application point of view, he is working to reduce the amount of labor and upgrade the  extent of automation in forestry survey by using 3D laser SLAM technology.
