Dr. Xiaoliang MENG, Professor, 'Luo Jia distinguished professor' in Wuhan University, deputy director of Education and Science Popularization Committee of China Association of Geographic Information Industry. He graduated from Wuhan University and obtained a Ph.D. in photogrammetry and remote sensing. He has been in the United States for three years as the visiting scholar and post-doctoral scientist, and participated in the NASA ICCaRS project. His main research interests are intelligent sensor network and geospatial information service in the field of ecology and environment. He won the 'Best Young Authors Award' of the International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS). He has also won many times 'excellent advisors' awards in national and international student competitions (e.g. China International College Students' Internet+ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition).
