Deputy dean of Dong Fureng Institute of Economic and Social Development of Wuhan University, Dong Fureng Chair Professor of Dong Fureng Institute of Economic and Social Development of Wuhan University, doctoral supervisor, Executive Director of Health Economics and Management Research Center.


He received his Ph.D. in Economics from Newcastle University, Australia in 2001, and engaged in health economics and health policy research as a visiting scholar at the China Center for Economic Research (now the National Institute of Development) of Peking University from February 2001 to June 2004 as a visiting scholar at the World Bank and a postdoctoral fellow at Peking University, and from July 2004 to January 2007 as a lecturer at the Department of Policy at the School of Business and Law, University of Newcastle, Australia.


He has published 70 articles in SCI, SSCI, and CSSCI journals, including in the Journal of Medical Internet, Vaccine, Bulletin of the World Health Organization, European Economic Review, Lancet-CAMS Health Summit, Health Economics and other internationally renowned journals published 9 SCI papers; 82 core journals in Chinese (including 69 first or corresponding author); He has edited 1 national planning textbook, translated 4 books, and participated in the editing of 3 books and textbooks.
