Sanbao Zhang is an Associate Professor at the Economics and Management School of Wuhan University. He is also an adjunct researcher at Guanghua School of Management, Peking University. Prof. Zhang ever worked as visiting scholar at the INSEAD Asia campus, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and the Development Research Center of the State Council of China, and also a Post-doctor at Peking University. He holds a Ph.D. in Management from the Business School of Sun Yat-sen University in 2012.

His research interests focus on the business environment, strategic leadership, and technological innovation. He has published numerous articles in major journals such as Management and Organization Review, and Management World (a top management journal in Chinese) in his field, and has written four books. His evaluation of the business environment across Chinese provinces has been widely concerned by the government and academia.
