To survive in challenging surroundings, plants must relentlessly perceive and adapt to environmental changes. Electrical signals were identified as important local and long-distance signals involved in these processes. Identifying the key components of electrical signal-mediated stress responses would refine plant electrical signalling diagrams and provide gene resources for crop breeding or germplasm improvement.

[Plant Electrical Signalling Lab] focuses on plant electrophysiology and stress responses, aiming to uncover the mechanisms of plant electrical signal initiation, propagation, and decoding. Our interests include 1) herbivore-induced electrical signals and 2) abiotic stress-induced electrical signals.
