Li is an associate professor at the School of Electronic Information and Director of Medical Imaging Information Research Center at Wuhan University. He received his B.Sc. (Physics), M.Sc. (Power Electronics), and Ph.D. (Computer Science) in 1993, 1997, and 2001, respectively. As a postdoctoral research fellow, he joined the Laboratory of Information and Integrated Systems, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Japan, from 2003 to 2005.
Li's research interests and activities are in the areas of artificial intelligence, image processing, big data analytics and modeling, intelligent sensing equipment, and computational intelligence. In recent years, he has hosted and participated in more than 30 projects, such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Key Research and Development Program, and cross-innovation projects, and published more than 50 academic papers in international journals, such as NANO ENERGY, IEEE GRSL, IEEE J-STARS, WATER, J APPL GEOPHYS and other international conferences such as GPR, I2MTC, ICSP, PRRS, ICINIS, etc.; authorized 50 invention patents; software copyright 26 items. Current research is signal processing and computer vision, machine learning, and its applications in information acquisition, medical imaging, environmental data analytics, etc.
