Huanfeng, is currently a Luojia Distinguished Professor and Associate Dean of School of Resource and Environmental Sciences, Wuhan University. His research interests include image quality improvement, remote sensing mapping and application, data fusion and assimilation, regional and global environmental change. He was or is the PI of four NSFC (National Natural Science Foundation of China) projects, and several sub-projects of Major State Basic Research Development Program (973 Program ) of China and the National High Technology Research and Development Program (863 Program ) . Dr. Shen has published more than 100 research papers in international journals. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, and a Council Member of China Association of Remote Sensing Application. He is currently a associate editor of Journal of APPLIED REMOTE SENSING. Additionally, he is the reviewer of 33 international journals.
