Abstract:“泥质陶器”是一个相对概念，学界对“泥质陶器”的界定标准既不统一，也无法定量化。本文将其宽泛地定义为：以陶土为材质、质地相对细腻且未明确发现人为添加羼和料的陶器。结合对陶器科技分析工作的反思，本文指出未来应注重村落及以下空间尺度的泥质陶器和制陶原料研究，以及系统性、大样本量的科技分析。论文最后介绍了三项针对泥质陶器的尝试性工作，并指出：（1）手持式X射线荧光光谱仪在村落及以下尺度的陶器研究中具有可靠性和准确性；（2）即便空间范围缩小至1~5公里，化学成分组信息仍然足以区分家户之间在获取和消费陶器方面的差异；（3）如果陶器、文化层土壤以及生土—基岩在化学成分上重合，可认为陶器是本地生产。

Tao Li holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Anthropological Archaeology (University of Pittsburgh, 2016) and a Doctor of Science in Archaeometry (University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, 2010). Between September 2016 and February 2019, he worked as a team member of the Eurasia3angle Project at the Max Planck Institute for the Science of Human History (Jena, Germany). Starting in June 2023, he is a Full Professor at the Department of Archaeology at Wuhan University (Hubei Province, China). Focusing on the middle Yangtze River valley, his research interests include craft production, household archaeology, and early complex societies.
