Research Field

    1. Spatiotemporal data query processing

Spatiotemporal data generally refer to data with time and/or geographical information (e.g., time series, trajectories, tweets, etc.). We investigate solutions to efficient storing, indexing, and querying of spatiotemporal data for complex practical applications.

    2. Interactive learning

Interactive learning is a type of machine learning methods where the agents interact with the environment and learn from the feedback signals. We focus on frontier directions such as multi-agent learning, transfer learning, and online learning, etc.

    3. Spatiotemporal recommender system

A spatiotemporal recommender system makes recommendations with specific considerations on time and geographical information. We investigate solutions to explainable, persuasive recommendations using tools such as knowledge graphs.
