Space Geodesy and Navigation Research Team
Our research team is a group of over ten members, including professors, lecturers, postdoctoral researchers, doctoral and master's students. We have been dedicated to teaching, research and talent cultivation in the fields of GNSS technology and its applications, space geodesy, and positioning and navigation of deep space probes for a long time.
The team has achieved a series of research results with international influence in the fields of space geodesy and deep space exploration. By integrating multiple space geodesy techniques such as GPS, GLONASS, SLR, and VLBI, they have achieved high-frequency and high-precision refinement of Earth orientation parameters (EOP). At the same time, they innovatively combined ΔVLBI, SBI, space VLBI, X-ray pulsar navigation, and astronomical navigation technologies to apply them in the positioning of deep space probes, significantly improving the accuracy of the transformation parameters of the spatiotemporal reference frame and the precise positioning of lunar and Mars probes. The team independently developed a software system for the refinement of spatiotemporal reference frame transformation parameters with complete intellectual property rights. The system overcame multiple key technical challenges such as the optimization of prior accuracy and solution frequency, the assessment of the impact of the measurement and control network structure, and the collaborative processing of probe orbits and model algorithms. It established an independent and self-innovative theoretical and technical system, promoting China's research in this field to enter the international advanced ranks.
The team has strong research capabilities and has successively led or participated in over 40 national and provincial-level research projects, including the National 973 Program, the National 863 Program, and the National Natural Science Foundation. Their research achievements have won one International Education Research Champion Award, five provincial and ministerial-level teaching and scientific progress awards, and 25 other teaching and research awards. They have published over 230 academic papers and four books, and have applied for and obtained more than ten national invention patents and registered over 20 software copyrights. In terms of talent cultivation, they have successfully trained over 80 doctoral and master's students, providing a group of high-level professionals for the relevant fields of the country.
