Jing Zhang, PhD, is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Computer Science, Wuhan University. He also holds dual appointments as a Supervisor at both the School of Artificial Intelligence and the School of Robotics, Wuhan University.
His primary research focuses on the field of computer vision, with an emphasis on cutting-edge areas such as large vision models and multimodal large models, as well as their applications in medical embodied intelligence and remote sensing intelligent interpretation. In recent years, he has published over 100 papers in CCF-A ranked international journals and conferences, including 9 ESI Highly Cited Papers and 1 Hot Paper. His work has garnered more than 19,000 citations on Google Scholar. Notably, his paper "ViTPose" published in 2022, has been cited over 1,100 times. In 2023, he was elevated to IEEE Senior Member. From 2022 to 2025, he was consecutively listed in the Stanford University Top 2% of Scientists worldwide.
