Team Leader: Dr. Xiang Zhang

Dr. Xiang Zhang is now an assistant researcher in Wuhan University. As the leader of Earth Observation Brain team, he conducted cutting-edge research on earth observation methods and applications with excellent team members.  

He received the B.S. degree in geographic information system from Huazhong Agriculture University, Wuhan, China, in 2012 and the Ph.D. degree in cartography and geographic information system from Wuhan University, Hubei, China, in 2017. He was a visiting scholar hosted by Prof. Dev Niyogi at Purdue University, IN, USA from 2015 to 2017.

 

Academic Advisor: Prof. Nengcheng Chen

Prof. Nengcheng Chen is the academic advisor of Earth Observation Brain team.  As a distinguished professor of Wuhan University, he has conducted innovative GIS, sensor web, and smart city research since 1999. 

 

PhD Student: Lei Xu

He received the B.S. degree from Wuhan University in 2016. Now he is working on his PhD degree on remote sensing. His interests include precipitation prediction, drought analysis, and ecology analysis.

 

PhD Student: Hongliang Ma

He received the B.S. degree in geographic information system from Huazhong Agriculture University, Wuhan, China, in 2016. He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree in cartography and geographic information engineering in the State Key Laboratory of Information Engineering in Surveying, Mapping and Remote Sensing (LIESMARS), Wuhan University, Hubei, China. His current research interests include remote sensing soil moisture data fusion and drought applications.

 

PhD Student: Siqi Wang

Siqi Wang is now a master student majoring in cartography and geographic information system of Wuhan University. Her research is directed at drought monitoring. She received the B.E. degree in Surveying and Mapping Engineering from Central South University, ChangSha, China, in 2018.

 

Master Student: Shiyi Tang

Shiyi Tang is now a graduate student majoring in cartography and geographic information system of Wuhan University. Her research is directed at the evaluation of socioeconomic drought. She received B.S. degree in geographic information science from China University of Geoscience, Wuhan, China, in 2018.

 

Master Student: Ronghui Li

She received the B.S. degree in Surveying and Mapping Engineering from China University of Geosciences, Wuhan, China, in 2018. She is currently working toward the Master degree in cartography and geographic information engineering in Wuhan University, Hubei, China. Her current research interests include Agricultural and Urban Drought. 

 

Master Student: Bowen Cheng

Bowen Cheng is now a graduate student majoring in cartography and geographic information system of Wuhan University. His research is directed at the inversion method of soil moisture using SAR images. He received B.S. degree in geographic information science from China University of Geoscience, Wuhan, China, in 2018.

 

Master Student: Lixiaona Yu

Lixiaona Yu is now a graduate student majoring in surveying engineering of Wuhan University. She got her B.Sc from Sun Yat-sen University in 2016. Then she had worked for a real estate company for more than two years.

Dr. Chengjie Xing

Dr. Chenjie Xing has received his bachelor degree of information and computation science from Wuhan University, his master of science (M.Sc) degree of earth oriented space science and technology from Technische Universitaet Muenchen, and his Ph.D degree of remote sensing from LIESMARS of Wuhan University. He is now an algorithm and system engineer of the south west institute of electronic technology, and working on artificial intelligence-driven signal processing and collaborative observation.

 

M.E. Yuqi He

As a outstanding student, Yuqi He got his Bachelor and Master degree in 2015 and 2018, respectively. After that, He joined Chongqing Survey Institute.
