李光汉，四川大学博士、北京大学博士后，现为武汉大学教授、博士生导师，从事微分几何与几何分析的研究与教学工作二十余年。研究工作曾应邀在第八届欧洲微分几何学术研讨会、中国数学会几何拓扑分会，以及子流形的几何与拓扑学术研讨会上报告，先后到葡萄牙和日本做学术交流与访问。在中国科学, Math Z, TAMS, JFA, CAG, Rev Math Iberoa和JDE等国内外学术刊物发表研究论文五十余篇，在科学出版社合作出版《子流形几何》专著一部。主持过多项国家与地方研究课题，研究成果曾获湖北省自然科学二等奖，湖北省科协自然科学优秀论文一等奖等奖项。
