Dr. Shen Xin received his Ph.D. in Engineering. His primary research interests focus on remote sensing satellite mission planning and ground operation & control systems. He has successively served as Principal Investigator for multiple projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and the Natural Science Foundation of Hubei Province. As a key research member, he has participated in several major programs, including the National Key Research and Development Program of China and the Major Research Plan of NSFC. He has authored/co-authored over 80 peer-reviewed papers, including more than 40 indexed in SCI. He holds 9 authorized invention patents (as the first inventor) and 5 registered software copyrights.

Dr. Shen is currently the Deputy Director of the Remote Sensing Satellite Ground Station at Wuhan University. He serves as the Chief Designer of the ground telemetry, tracking & command (TT&C) and data transmission system for the Luojia-1, Luojia-2, Luojia-3, and Luojia-4 satellite missions. He is also a member of the Earth Observation Working Committee of the Chinese Society for Geodesy, Photogrammetry and Cartography, and a council member of the Hubei Society of Natural Resources.
